Beschreibung I Description DE Diese Lehrveranstaltung versteht Performance als künstlerische Forschungsform und experimentelle Praxis. Im Zentrum steht die Frage, wie Erfahrungen, Beobachtungen und individuelle Fragestellungen in performative Ausdrucksformen übersetzt werden können – und wie künstlerischer Ausdruck wiederum neue Erfahrungen und Erkenntnisse hervorbringt. Performance wird dabei als Gestaltung von Situationen, Beziehungen und Handlungen verstanden.
Methodisch orientiert sich der Kurs an den drei Perspektiven der Performance Studies nach Dwight Conquergood: Accomplishment (Wissen durch Tun), Analysis (Wissen durch Beobachtung und Reflexion) und Application (Wissen in Anwendung). Diese drei Ebenen bilden den Rahmen für die Entwicklung eigener künstlerischer Arbeiten.
Jede Semestereinheit beginnt mit einem gemeinsamen Grundlagentraining zu Körper, Stimme, Präsenz und Wahrnehmung. Darauf aufbauend werden aktuelle performative Forschungsprojekte vorgestellt und diskutiert, bevor die Studierenden eigene Fragestellungen und künstlerische Konzepte entwickeln. Regelmäßige Feedbackrunden begleiten den Prozess von der Idee bis zur Realisierung.
Die abschließenden Arbeiten können als Solo- oder Gruppenperformance, performative Intervention, installative oder partizipative Arbeit, Lecture Performance, Workshop oder – sofern der Fragestellung angemessen – auch als theoretischer oder essayistischer Beitrag realisiert werden. Ziel der Lehrveranstaltung ist es, die Studierenden darin zu unterstützen, eine eigene performative Sprache zu entwickeln und eine Form zu finden, die ihrer künstlerischen Fragestellung entspricht.
Künstlerisches Projektseminar bietet ergänzende Einzelbetreuung, Feedback und Projektentwicklungen unter Berücksichtigung performativer Aspekte für Bachelor-Studierende, die in diesem Semester ihre Abschlussarbeit machen, sowie für künstlerische Projektarbeiten.

ENG This course approaches performance as a mode of artistic research and an experimental practice. It explores how experiences, observations, and individual questions can be translated into performative forms of expression—and how artistic expression, in turn, generates new experiences and insights. Performance is understood as the creation of situations, relationships, and actions.
Methodologically, the course is informed by Dwight Conquergood’s three perspectives on Performance Studies: Accomplishment (knowledge through doing), Analysis (knowledge through observation and reflection), and Application (knowledge in practice). These three dimensions provide the framework for the development of students‘ own artistic projects.
Each session begins with a shared foundational training focusing on body, voice, presence, and perception. Building on this, current performative research projects are introduced and discussed before students develop their own research questions and artistic concepts. Regular feedback sessions accompany the process from the initial idea through to its realization.
Final projects may take the form of solo or group performances, performative interventions, installations, participatory works, lecture performances, workshops, or—where appropriate to the research question—theoretical or essayistic contributions. The course aims to support students in developing their own performative language and in finding the artistic form that best corresponds to their individual inquiry.
The artistic project seminar additionally offers individual supervision, feedback, and project development with a particular focus on performative aspects for Bachelor’s students completing their final project during this semester, as well as for students undertaking artistic project work in the field of performance art.
